Are you curious about the journey of a passionate pharmacist with diverse experiences in hospital, community pharmacy, and even the emerging field of medicinal cannabis? Let me introduce myself – I’m Rilet, and I’m thrilled to share my story with you.
My career in pharmacy started as an intern at the largest private hospital in the Southern Hemisphere, where I gained invaluable experience implementing antibiotic stewardship programs to combat the growing threat of antibiotic resistance. This cause has remained close to my heart throughout my career.
As a ward pharmacist, I was responsible for managing medication-related issues and optimizing medication management for individual patients. Collaborating closely with specialist physicians, I played a key role in enhancing medication safety and driving positive patient outcomes.
In addition to my hospital and clinic experience, I gained expertise in compounding and dispensing medications, providing immunizations, and conducting health and wellness screenings while working in a small community pharmacy as the Responsible Pharmacist.
I’ve also ventured into the emerging field of medicinal cannabis and am currently a Responsible Pharmacist at a manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance and distribution of medicinal cannabis while upholding my commitment to patient safety and awareness.
Throughout my journey, I’ve presented abstracts at conferences and remain dedicated to improving patient outcomes and empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their medications.
My diverse background and passion for patient safety have led me to where I am today, and I’m excited to continue contributing to the field of pharmacy. I’m committed to providing individualized care and promoting preventive care in both hospital and community settings, and I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact in the field.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me and my journey in pharmacy. Stay tuned for more updates and insights into the exciting world of alternative medicine.
